continental : Let’s water every 10-11 days, so that the substratum is always quite moist. If the temperatures are very harsh, during the winter, it isn’t necessary to water. Wet with 1-2 glasses of water.

alpine : We advise watering the the Arisaema nipponicum regularly, but not too often, keeping the soil damp, using 0-1 glasses of water; during this period of the year watering every 10-11 days could be enough.

mediterranean : The Arisaema nipponicum always asks for a slightly moist soil: therefore we should water often, about every 10-11 days, wetting the substratum deep down. Normally 2-3 glasses of water are used.

continental : The Arisaema nipponicum can bear some hours during the day of direct sunlight, but it is best to locate it in a partially shady place.
We suggest, during the coldest months of the year, to grow these plants in a sheltered place, where the freezing is not too intense.

alpine : A partially shaded place is advisable, where the the Arisaema nipponicum is exposed to direct solar rays only for a few hours daily.
These plants can stand short frosts, but during the coldest months of the year we suggest covering them with a non-woven fabric, or move them to a cold greenhouse.

mediterranean : Locate this plant in a partially shady place, directly exposed to solar rays for a few hours a day.
The Arisaema nipponicum can stand the cold, therefore it can be planted in full ground in the garden.

Fertilize Arisaema nipponicum : It isn’t necessary to fertilize bulbous plants during the wintry months.

Pests Arisaema nipponicum : Towards the end of the winter it is advised to apply a fungicide treatment using products based on sulphur and copper, to discourage the development of the most common fungal parasites.
