We suggest, during the coldest months of the year, to grow these plants in a sheltered place, where the freezing is not too intense.

These plants can stand short frosts, but during the coldest months of the year we suggest covering them with a non-woven fabric, or move them to a cold greenhouse.

mediterranean : We advise locating these plants where they can be directly exposed to solar rays.
The Arum nigrum can stand the cold, therefore it can be planted in full ground in the garden.

Fertilize Arum nigrum : It isn’t necessary to fertilize bulbous plants during the wintry months.

Pests Arum nigrum : Towards the end of the winter it is advised to apply a fungicide treatment using products based on sulphur and copper, to discourage the development of the most common fungal parasites.
