Cosmos bipinnatus

continental : Watering will be regular by using 1-2 glasses of water, but not often, only when the climate is arid or the ground dries out very much. Average watering occurs every 1-2 weeks.

alpine : The ground should be wet every 2-3 weeks, only when it is clearly dry; if the climate is very harsh it is best to water it. The recommended doses are 0-1 glasses of water.

mediterranean : Every 0-1 weeks water the plant, waiting for the soil to dry completely between one watering and the other, generally using about 2-3 glasses of water.

continental : Plant which needs to be exposed to direct sunrays.
The Cosmos bipinnatus can stand temperatures a few degrees below zero; during the coldest periods of the year it is moved to the cold greenhouse, or it is protected by a non-woven fabric.

alpine : These plants need to be cultivated in a place exposed to direct sunrays.
During the cold months it’s best to shelter these plants from the most intense freezing; let’s move them to a cold greenhouse, or let’s cover them with some a non-woven fabric.

mediterranean : These plants love very sunny places, being exposed to direct sunrays even for many hours a day.
These plants are grown in full ground all year round; they can stand the cold.

Feed Cosmos bipinnatus : In this period of the year annual plants aren’t cultivated.

Adversity Cosmos bipinnatus : A treatment with a fungicide based on sulphur and copper is usually used at the end of the Winter, to discourage the rising of the most common diseases.
