Lavandula stoechas - French lavender

continental : Let’s try to keep the ground fairly damp, watering every 2-3 weeks with 22-23 buckets of water; when the weather is very harsh and the temperatures are below zero, watering can be interrupted.

alpine : Every 3-4 weeks water the soil, trying to wet it deeply; keep the ground constantly moist, although we must avoid water stagnations. Usually 21-22 buckets of water are used.

mediterranean : We suggest watering regularly with 23-24 buckets of water, trying to keep the growing substratum pretty cool and moist; if the climate is very cold we can reduce watering. 1-2 weeks should go by between irrigations.

continental : For the the Lavandula stoechas let's prefer very sunny locations, directly exposed to sunrays.
Winter minimum temperatures can cause damage to the the Lavandula stoechas , which can only stand short and not too harsh freezing; during this period of the year we suggest locating them in a cold greenhouse, or protect them from the wind and cold with a non-woven fabric.

alpine : For a balanced development, it is best for the the Lavandula stoechas to receive as many hours possible of direct sunlight.

Fertilization Lavandula stoechas : During the winter it’s not necessary to fertilize shrubs. Before the winter climate gets decisively harsh, we should remember to put some fertilizer to the evergreen shrubs, preferably using organic fertilizer.
