Odontoglossum pescatorei

continental : Watering occurs only when there are long periods of drought or when the ground is very dry, using 0-1 glasses of water; during this period of the year usually watering once every 1-2 weeks can be enough if the weather is mild.

alpine : During this period of the year it’s not necessary to water the the Odontoglossum pescatorei too often; usually watering should be done every 2-3 weeks with -1-0 glasses of water, but only if the soil is dry. We suggest watering only during periods with a mild climate.

mediterranean : Let’s water not too frequently, but regularly using 1-2 glasses of water, when the soil is clearly dry. During this period of the year watering every 0-1 weeks can be enough, but only during the milder days.

We advise cultivating the the Odontoglossum pescatorei in the apartment because it can’t stand the cold; it needs minimum temperatures above 12-15°C.

mediterranean : It is advisable to avoid a sunny exposure, although it is best to locate the the Odontoglossum pescatorei in a bright position.
The Odontoglossum pescatorei can’t stand the cold, therefore during the winter months it is placed in the apartment, with minimum temperatures above 15°C.

Fertilize Odontoglossum pescatorei : In the winter it’s not necessary to fertilize orchids.

Pests Odontoglossum pescatorei : During cold months parasites are unlikely to develop; if necessary apply a mineral oil treatment against cochineals.
