continental : Let’s water every 2-3 weeks, so that the substratum is always quite moist. If the temperatures are very harsh, during the winter, it isn’t necessary to water. Wet with 1-2 glasses of water.

alpine : We advise watering the the Origanum laevigatum regularly, but not too often, keeping the soil damp, using 0-1 glasses of water; during this period of the year watering every 3-4 weeks could be enough.

mediterranean : The Origanum laevigatum always asks for a slightly moist soil: therefore we should water often, about every 1-2 weeks, wetting the substratum deep down. Normally 2-3 glasses of water are used.

We suggest, during the coldest months of the year, to grow these plants in a sheltered place, where the freezing is not too intense.

These plants can stand short frosts, but during the coldest months of the year we suggest covering them with a non-woven fabric, or move them to a cold greenhouse.

mediterranean : We advise locating these plants where they can be directly exposed to solar rays.
The Origanum laevigatum can stand the cold, therefore it can be planted in full ground in the garden.

Fertilize Origanum laevigatum : During the winter it’s not necessary to fertilize these plants.
